Goede reviews van Tim Atkin MW voor Sinodo

Good reviews for Sinodo in Tim Atkin’s MW Rioja 2024 Special Report

2021 Sínodo Raposeras (not yet available)
96 punten Tim Atkin MW – Viñedo Singular (14.5%)
A wine that gives you a sense of the jewels that are hidden away in the co-operatives – it used to disappear into a larger blend in Uruñuela – this is one of the very best of the Viñedos Singulares. Wild and appealingly savoury, with mountain herb top notes, it’s a graceful cuvée of Tempranillo and 1% Garnacha with vibrant acidity, fine, perfumed oak and some underlying grip. 2026-30.

2021 Sínodo Centales (in stock)
95 punten Tim Atkin MW – Viñedo Singular (14%)
Centales is a small volume blend from a 58-year-old vineyard of the same name in Uruñuela, combining an intriguing line-up of Tempranillo supported by 48% Mazuelo, Viura, Garnacha and Maturana Tinta. Freshened and lifted by the presence of white grapes, this is savoury, subtle and graceful with subtle reduction, red cherry, bramble and vanilla spice flavours and an energetic finish. 2025-32

2021 Sínodo Los Tollos (not yet available)
95 punten Tim Atkin MW – Viñedo Singular (14,5%)
Los Tollos comes from a single parcel of 41-year-old grapes at 430 metres in Villamediana de Iregua. Made with a field blend of Tempranillo and 2% each of Mazuelo and Malvasía Riojana, it’s a Rioja Oriental cuvée that’s all about freshness, focus and balance. Smooth and elegant, it’s a magic carpet ride of a red, all pomegranate, black olive and blueberry fruit framed by tannins. 2025-32

2021 Sínodo Garnacha – Graciano (not yet available)
92 punten Tim Atkin MW – Genérico (14.5%)
Two parcels in Ausejo are the source of this characterful Rioja Oriental blend of Garnacha and 32% Graciano, which is very true to the nuanced, perfumed, well-freighted Sínodo style. Sage and wild thyme aromas are complemented by sappy, juicy plum, raspberry and bramble fruit. 2024-29
